A is for ...Tomato

Okay, I know I can't stop from harping on Jamie's lack of vocabulary skills. I will try to stop. Soon. But first let me relay this story:

We have a few tomato plants in the backyard. Some cherry tomatoes, and some... bigger-than-cherry tomatoes. The cherry tomatoes have been ripening in spurts and recently a bunch have turned a nice shade of red. Jamie noticed these today. He made his way over to the "garden" (I call it such but it's really just a handful of plants that we're growing against the fence), carefully worked his pudgy hand between the wires of the tomato cage, and selected a tomato. He brought it to me, happily, helpfully; he deposited it into my outstretched hand and said, "apple".

Sigh.
